Instructions

The abstract must be in one column on one or two A5 pages, including all figures and references. The page must have a margin of 2 cm on the left-hand and right-hand sides, while the top and bottom margins should be 2.3cm. All text, figures etc. must remain within these margins. The font used should be Times 12-point, except for the abstract title which should be in Times 14-point bold capital lettering. The lines should be single-spaced and justified. Photographs cannot be submitted.

The abstract must begin with the title followed by the names of the authors and the addresses of their institutions. The title, authors and addresses should be centered on the page. The name of the presenting author of the abstract should be in bold type. References in the text must be numbered and enclosed in square brackets. The list of references should be placed at the end of the abstract. There should be no page number.

Abstracts should be submitted through the conference website, http://hci2010.fudan.edu.cn. The format for abstract submission is Adobe's Portable Document Format (.pdf) or Microsoft Word (.doc). The file name should be the presenting author’s full name as “JohnSmith.pdf” or “JohnSmith.doc”. Note, we prefer to see only 1 abstract per registered participate. As HCI only has two poster sessions, multiple abstract submission could lead to some organizational problems.

Abstracts will be classified in one of the following categories:

• AC1: Fundamental Aspects, Structure and Spectroscopy
• AC2: Collisions with Electrons, Ions, Atoms and Molecules
• AC3: Interactions with Clusters, Surfaces and Solids
• AC4: Interactions with Photons, Plasmas and Strong Field Processes
• AC5: Production, Experimental developments and Applications
